ファームウェアアップデーター#

pylon Viewerのファームウェアアップデーターを使用すると、Baslerカメラのファームウェアをアップデートできます。

The Firmware Updater is available in the Windows and Linux version of the pylon Viewer, either as a GUI or command-line tool.

情報

For Basler boost V and racer 2 XL cameras, different Firmware Updater tools are available. You can't use the Firmware Updater delivered with the pylon Software Suite.

Contact Basler Support to obtain the appropriate tool for your boost V or racer 2 XL camera.

始める前に#

  • To use the Firmware Updater, you need an update file (.guf file). Contact Basler Support to request an update file suitable for your camera.
  • Save the update file on your local hard drive. Updating from a .guf file located on a remote server may lead to the following error message:
    The firmware update file selected is not compatible with your camera model.
  • Not all Basler camera models can be updated using the Firmware Updater. If no updatable camera is connected to your computer, the Firmware Updater option in the Tools menu appears dimmed. Currently, cameras with the Camera Link and BCON interfaces can't be updated. Also, ace Classic/U/L cameras can't be updated.
  • 同じモデルであれば、複数のカメラのファームウェアを同時にアップデートできます。例えば、a2A1920-51gcPROカメラが3台ある場合、3台のカメラをすべて同時にアップデートできます。
  • Make sure that all cameras to update are connected and close all applications using them.
  • カメラのファームウェアを更新する前に、画像取得を停止する必要があります。

Disconnecting cameras during the update process may result in damaging them.

Updating the Firmware via the GUI Tool#

ファームウェアをアップデートするには：

  1. Devicesペインでカメラを右クリックするか、Tools>Firmware Updaterの順でクリックして、ファームウェアアップデーターを開きます。
    ファームウェアアップデーターが開きます。お使いのコンピューターに現在接続されているアップデート可能なカメラはすべて、インターフェース名とモデル名により一覧表示されます。Devicesペインでカメラを選択した場合は、そのカメラがあらかじめ選択されています。選択を変更するには、現在選択されているチェックボックスをオフにして、別のチェックボックスを選択します。
  2. Nextをクリックします。
  3. Select the update file.
    If you select a .guf file that isn't compatible with the camera model, the Firmware Updater will recognize this and display a warning.
  4. Click Next.
    On the Update Summary page, you will find details of the update process, i.e., the current and the new firmware version and whether an upgrade, downgrade, or reinstall of the firmware will be performed.
  5. Nextをクリックします。
    更新プロセスにはしばらく時間がかかります。更新プロセス中は電源を切断しないでください。カメラが損傷するおそれがあります。

When the update is complete, the Result Summary page will be displayed. If you click Next here, you return to step 1 of the Firmware Updater where you can repeat the update process, e.g., with a different camera model.

Updating the Firmware via Command Line#

The pylon Firmware Updater is also available as a command-line tool and can be found here:

  • Windows: %programfiles%\Basler\pylon\Runtime\x64
  • Linux: /opt/pylon/bin

The tool includes a variety of commands as well as help text for each command that demonstrates the command's usage and the options available for each command.

Here are a few examples how to use the tool:

  • Display the help text for the update command:
    PylonFirmwareUpdater update -h
  • Update a daA2500 camera model and generate verbose output:
    PylonFirmwareUpdater update -v daA2500_14uc_r_1.4.0.250701.guf
