Improved Build Flow

Supported Vivado Versions

CXP-12 platforms now support building hardware applets with Vivado 2026.1. This Vivado version resolves build issues that could occur on Windows 11 when using earlier Vivado releases. Starting with Vivado 2026.1, AMD changed the Vivado licensing model. Building CXP-12 applets with Vivado 2026.1 or later therefore requires a purchased Vivado Design Suite license.

For CXP-12, building with Vivado 2025.1 and 2025.2 is not supported. To prevent unsupported configurations, VisualApplets now blocks the build flow when either of these Vivado versions is detected.

Optimized Netlist Synthesis for Applet Builds

An optimized high-performance implementation for netlist synthesis is now available and can significantly improve build-flow performance.

For all platforms that previously supported the Enhanced mode, a new Optimized (Experimental) option is now available in the Build Hardware Applet dialog. Selecting this option enables the new high-performance netlist synthesis implementation.

The Optimized mode is currently considered experimental because it has not yet been validated for all supported use cases.
