Version Numbers of pylon Components#
You may notice that different parts of pylon have different version numbers.
The pylon Camera Software Suite version X may include pylon Viewer version Y and pylon API version Z.
For example, clicking Help > About pylon Viewer in the pylon Viewer may return the following:
The reason for this is that different components follow different development paths. Sometimes a new Camera Software Suite version will only have changes to the pylon Viewer because the API didn't need any updates.
When using the pylon API, the information found in PylonVersionNumber.h refers to the version of the API only.
