pylon 7: Missing Legacy Parameters for Windows Performance Driver#
With pylon 7.1, new robust GigE filter and socket drivers were introduced.
Besides new features that were exclusively introduced (see pylon release notes), these drivers have the same features as the Windows performance driver and are meant to replace it completely.
The previous performance driver offered several features for manual fine-tuning that were required for a stable operation on low performance systems. Current systems have hardware with way better performance, which makes manual adjustment of these features obsolete.
That is why the following features are now managed automatically in the driver and can no longer be accessed directly:
- Receive Window Size
- Resend Request Threshold
- Resend Request Batching
- Resend Timeout
- Resend Request Response Timeout
The Basler Universal Instant Camera class no longer implements static members of these features. Also, those features are no longer documented in the Basler Product Documentation.
