Manually Changing the Last Used Applet on the Frame Grabber in microDisplay X#

It may be necessary to manually change the last applet used if, for example, microDisplayX can no longer be opened. To do this, you can modify the applet via a configuration file in the AppData directory.

The following instructions apply for both, imaFlex and imaWorx frame grabbers:

1. Access the AppData directory:

   • Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog.
   • Type %appdata% and press Enter.
   • Navigate to the Roaming folder, then open the Basler directory.

2. Edit the configuration file:

   • Locate the file named me6_0_init inside the Basler folder.
   • Open this file using a text editor.

3. Find the entry for the last used applet and change it to:

   • Acq_QuadCXP12Area.dll
   • Save the file after making the change.

4. Restart the PC:

   • Reboot the computer.
   • Launch microDisplay X. The frame grabber should now load with the default applet.

By following these steps, the applet can be manually reset, allowing microDisplay X to function properly again.
