Bluescreen in Windows 8.1 When Computer Is Put To Sleep or Hibernate Mode#
Issue#
Bluescreen when a Windows 8.1 system is put to sleep or hibernate mode.
Reason#
When the pylon filter driver is installed on a Windows 8.1 system, there will be a bluescreen when the system is put to sleep or hibernate mode (DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILURE).
This isn't a problem of the pylon filter driver, but is confirmed by Microsoft as a known issue of Windows 8.1.
Solution#
A fix for that problem is contained in the Microsoft update.
Either install that update manually or enable automatic Windows updates.
